New Workers

Excellence is an art won by training and habit. - Aristotle

It is a fact that remains as true today as in ancient Greece. The way to excel at any craft or skill, especially when a person is new to a task, is to make sure that person receives training and supervision while they are learning it. Workers need adequate training and direct supervision during the critical first weeks on a new job.

Of serious injuries, one-third occur to a worker who has been at a job for less than one year. 10 percent of injured workers did not even complete a full month at their job before becoming injured.

When planning to expand production, make sure your business strategy includes enough training time for new employees before they begin production work.
