The way to excel at any craft or skill, especially when a person is new to a task, is to make sure that person receives training and supervision while they are learning it. Workers need adequate training and direct supervision during the critical first weeks on a new job. Of serious injuries, one-third occur to a worker who has been at a job for less than one year. 10 percent of injured workers did not even complete a full month at their job before becoming injured. When planning to expand production, make sure your business strategy includes enough training time for new employees before they begin production work. When
