The Health Care workplace violence advisory committee is comprised from a broad range of groups impacted by House Bill 2022. This committee advises Oregon OSHA on rulemaking associated with this bill. Members include the Oregon Nurse's Association, the Oregon State Hospital, Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems, Home Health Care Association, AFSCME, OHSU, Bay Area Hospital, Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital, Lake District Hospital, and Providence Health System in Oregon.

Rulemaking activities are centered around recording and reporting requirements, which require hospitals and related employers to record assaults against employees. Data from 2008 is required to be reported to Oregon OSHA by January 31, 2009. Oregon OSHA will analyze statewide data, providing a report to the 75th Legislative Session. The committee will advise us on the content of the report.
