Safety Committee Advisory CommitteeThe Safety Committee Stakeholder Advisory Group is comprised of stakeholders from various entities throughout Oregon. Members of the group include representatives from labor, construction and general industry employers, insurers and employer associations. The purpose of stakeholder meetings is to strengthen the partnership between Oregon OSHA and the regulated community. The mission is to address the requirements of HB2222, which redefines the rules for safety committees and allows some flexible options for employers to either establish safety committees or holding safety meetings. The committee's goal is to provide input into the writing of the new safety committee rules so they are easily understood and ensure greater effectiveness of safety and health programs.
